Build a bench
before you need one.

Bench is where the people building teams find the people they'd want to build with — before either side is shopping. No job postings. No applications. Just mutual recognition.

Two sides, one bench

If you build teams

Build your bench. Stop posting jobs.

Your bench grows two ways: our AI surfaces specific people who match your hiring philosophy, and you invite people you already know directly by email. Either way, they're only told if they want you back.

No funnel. No recruiters. No resumes. The next time a role opens, the relationship is already there.

If you'd want to be on someone's bench

Get on the bench of someone you'd want to build with.

We don't want a resume. We want to know what you're great at, what kind of environment lets you do your best work, and what you've learned to avoid. From that, we find the specific people building teams who'd want you on theirs.

You're not job-searching. You're being chosen — by someone who's seen exactly what you bring and decided they want you on their bench.

“The best hires happen because someone wanted someone specifically — not because a company posted a job.”
The thesis
How it works

A short conversation. Quiet matching in the background.

You only hear from us when there's real mutual recognition.

I

A profile in your own voice

Optional, but most people do it: a short conversation with our AI that asks behavioral questions — what you've actually built, who you've actually been great with. Prefer to fill out a form? That works too. The point is the same: substance over polish.

II

A bench that grows two ways

Building teams: our AI surfaces specific people who match your hiring philosophy, AND you can invite anyone you already know directly to your bench by email. On the other side: you appear on the benches of people who'd genuinely want to build with you.

III

Bilateral matching

We score every match from both sides — would they genuinely thrive on this bench, and do they bring what this team needs. A match only surfaces when both sides score high. You only hear from us when there's real mutual recognition.

IV

A direct introduction

When both sides say yes, we connect you in-product. Schedule an intro call. Watch optional video introductions instead of doing a pre-screen. Then take the conversation wherever it needs to go. No application form. No recruiter middleman.

Where we are

Bench is in closed beta with finance professionals in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland — both the people building teams and the people they'd want on their benches. We picked one niche on purpose: our cofounders are in finance here, we know the people, and we can personally vet quality.

The platform will expand from there. Request access if you want in — we'll respond personally.
